Shaun T told Dr. Oz that while in college he looked in the mirror and now longer liked what he saw. If you can workout just 15 minutes per day for 30 days you will see miraculous results. Dr. Oz asked a woman from the audience (named Nicole) come down and talk about her weight and what size of clothing she would like to fit back into. She brought down her wedding dress that no longer fits. She told Dr. Oz that she gained weight during her pregnancy and has never been able to lose that weight after her baby was born. She said that her weight gain has left her depressed and she would love to find a way to get back into that wedding dress!

Shaun T said that one of the secrets to losing weight just isn’t what you eat, it’s when you eat. He said that you can get your body back to what it was years ago without starving yourself and without having food cravings. Here are Shaun T’s 3 Rules : Eat most of your carbs in the morning – Shaun says that you should taper down your carb intake throughout the day. Eating carbs first thing in the morning is a great way to give you energy when you wake up and will give you prolonged energy throughout the morning.

  • Breakfast – Eat 40% carbohydrates, 30% protein, and 30% fat
  • Lunch – Eat 25% carbs, 45% protein, and 30% healthy fats
  • Dinner – Eat 15% carbs, 55% protein, 30% fat

Eat 2 servings of sweet potatoes per day – Shaun T says that you will feel great after eating them. They will fill you up and are full of vital nutrients that your body needs. Eat foods with a short shelf life – If you are eating foods that expire within one week, you are likely to be eating healthy. Packaged foods that don’t expire for months aren’t the healthy foods that you want in your diet. He said that fresh fruit is a much better food choice than packaged juice which is mostly sugar anyway.
