This is a tutorial that explains and shows how to combine those multi-part files back into a DAZIP that are greater than 300MB. I used to be intimidated by trying to figure this out and passed by some great mods due to me thinking they were too complicated to install.
This is how to do it for v1.42 but it works the same for any version.7-zip -Link
Step one
Download all the parts of the mod to one folder. In the example I am using, it is only a 2 part download and I created the folder 'combine test' to put them in.
Step two
After both files (or however many the mod is split into) are downloaded and in your temp folder you created, right click on the first part and select 'extract here' as shown in screen shot 1.
It will look like this once the first part is extracted out of the zip file SS2:
Step three
Repeat that as many times as there are parts:SS3 and SS4

Step four
Open up your 7-Zip file manager and navigate to the folder you just extracted the multipart files. (the ones that end in .001, .002, ect. if needed)Right click on the file that ends in .001 as that is part one and choose 'combine'. This doesn't mean right click on the .001 file where you unzipped it. Star wars scrolling text font. You have to separately open up your 7-Zip file manager found by clicking Windows start, all programs, 7-Zip, 7-Zip file manager :SS5 and SS6
Now you should see the DAZIP in your 7-zip file manager:

Close out your 7-zip file manager and you will see that the DAZIP is in your original temp folder and is ready to install:

Big video files are broken or split in smaller parts and then uploaded on free online file hosting websites like Rapidshare, Megashare and so on. Have you download video file parts like 001, 002 and looking for way to play those videos files? Before the playback, you need to join all downloaded video file parts into a single video file which can be later played in any video player program.
How To Join 001 002 Files
Combine smaller split 001, 002, 003 video files
1. Download File Splitter & Joiner program. Then install this free program on your computer.
2. Your downloaded parts will be like: file.avi, file.avi.002, file.avi.003, file.avi.004 and so on. Make sure all downloaded video file parts are in the same folder.
3. Launch the File splitter and Joiner tool. Click on ‘Joining’ tab and then click to select first spilt video file part (file.avi or file.avi.001)
4. Then click on Join button to generate single video file from smaller video file parts. You can easily playback the full video using final generated video file. You may delete smaller video files after the joining process.
